Kurosawa – A Retrospective

The most celebrated Japanese filmmaker of all time, Akira Kurosawa (March 23rd 1910 – September 6th 1998) had a career that spanned from the Second World War to the early nineties. Today, his body of work stands as a monument of artistic and personal achievement. He’s the icon who first brought Japanese cinema to the West, inspiring countless Hollywood directors and paving the way for the popularity of genres like anime in the west today.
