FAQs

How do I view a film once I’ve made the purchase?
While signed in, click on “My Account” in the top left and then “My Purchases.” Your active rentals will be displayed there.

I’m having trouble logging into my account to rent or stream a title.
If you are an existing Cinema Arts Centre member or customer, you cannot use your member number or current username and password to log in. You will need to create a new username and password with @HomeArts that will be used only for @HomeArts rentals and streaming.

Can a film be viewed on my smart TV?
Maybe. If your device is compatible with your smart TV, you might be able to connect to it with an HDMI cable (from a computer) or through wireless casting (from a smart phone) and mirror the image. The best quality would come from streaming it directly on your device. If you experience a lot of buffering during playback, you may need to try a different browser (like Google Chrome) or stream when Internet usage in your neighborhood is not at peak activity. We are not able to control this aspect of playback. NOTE: At this time, @HomeArts does not support wireless casting with Apple AirPlay or Google Chromecast.

@HomeArts also has app support now on Roku and Apple TV. You can search for their app after making a purchase and sign-in with the email and password you used to make your purchase and your active rentals should then appear under your account.

Does my purchase support the Cinema Arts Centre?
Yes! Your ticket purchase is split between the Cinema and the film’s distributor. If you make an additional donation, the Cinema gets to keep 100% of that revenue.

I’m a Cinema Arts Centre member. Is there a member discount for @HomeArts rentals?
No. Due to our agreement with the @HomeArts platform and the distributors, we are unable to offer member benefits for these streaming titles. There are some programs (such as Movie Trivia and Virtual Lectures) that may offer discounts to active memberships and if available, will be listed on our Calendar.

I’m still having trouble. Is there customer support?
Yes. Please write to info@cinemaartscentre.org and describe the problem you are experiencing and allow for 24 to 72 hours for a customer service representative to respond. We have limited staff that are working remotely at this time so we thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience.
