Message on COVID-19 and The Cinema’s Temporary Closure

While the timeline for re-opening the Cinema remains somewhat unclear, we are immersed in preparations to re-open, which will include a meticulous professional cleaning, installation of safety enhancements, and the development of health and hygiene protocols, so that when the time is right, we can reopen as safely as possible. All of this will increase our expenses, while our revenue has been cut significantly, and we anticipate capacity restrictions once we reopen.

We hope we can depend on your vital support to see us through to the moment when we can all reverse the social distancing this current crisis demands, and come back together as a community. We are accepting Memberships and financial donations. Public support is especially appreciated during this time of lost income, and will help us reopen as soon as it is advisable to do so.

Update for Ticket-Holders Regarding Postponed/Cancelled Events

Ticket-holders with an advance purchase for special events that have been cancelled or indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic may choose 1 of the following 3 options for their purchase:

1) A credit of the balance in question on a Gift Certificate or Account Balance for a future purchase when it is safe for the Cinema to re-open.

2) A conversion of that balance to a fully tax-deductible gift to the Cinema Arts Centre.

3) A full refund of the balance in question to you, under the circumstances of the global pandemic. (credit card orders only, the Cinema cannot refund cash at this time)
